About Me...
My name is Alexandra and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Pennsylvania. I graduated from Penn State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Administration of Justice. I started my career working in the Juvenile Justice System in Philadelphia. I went on to complete a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology with a concentration in k-12 School Counseling as well as obtaining my LPC in Pennsylvania. I have a history of working within the court system-juvenile division, Public School System, and community mental health agencies. I specialize in different counseling styles such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Multicultural Awareness, Positive Psychology, and Compassion-Focused Therapy. Over the years I have helped my clients work through depression, anxiety, relationship issues, life transitions, discovering coping skills that work best for them, stress management, organization skills, self esteem, self love, career exploration, and mindfulness. My approach is unique in that I am a firm believer that YOU are the expert in your life. You know what you need to thrive and be the best version of yourself, however, you may need help navigating your journey. My practice is client-centered with accountability. As much as I believe it is important to visit the past to understand where you are, I believe the past is there and it can not be changed. It was those very struggles and hardships that have shaped you and have allowed you that warrior strength that has led you to where you are today. I will provide you with a safe space to explore and will help guide you in developing your treatment plan, identify barriers, and ultimate goals. I will challenge you to look deep within those shadows to acknowledge, accept and let go. I will provide you with the safe space you need to be your true authentic self and be all that you are meant to be. I counsel and coach you ethically as I encourage you to face your challenges and take them head-on. I will not promise you it will be easy, but I do promise you this is the first step to discovering your true self. It genuinely makes me happy to help others in this self-discovery and I would love to be part of your journey. Mental Health Counseling

PA Licensure Supervision
The state of Pennsylvania requires all who are looking to become a Licensed Professional Counselor to obtain "3000 hours supervised Clinical Experience completed in no less than 2 years, and no more than 6 years". Finding affordable supervision could be difficult. As of July 2022, supervision has to be completed in-person. If you are in search of a supervisor for your clinical hours, and are in the Philadelphia, PA area, reach out and we can discuss your options.
Mental Health Consultations
Unlike Mental Health Counseling which focuses on overcoming challenges that impede on your life and how you manage it, Mental Health Consultations focus on the present and are centered on problem-solving and finding solutions rather than delving into the past. Some focus points are identifying areas for improvement in an immediate situation, discussing and developing new skills and techniques to meet your potential, discovering and practicing new skills and tools to surpass self-imposed limits, defining/refining life vision and goals, self-care, and lifestyle management

How does Telemental Health Counseling/Consulting work?
Online Counseling and consulting work the same as in-person sessions, only they are more convenient in that you can participate from the comfort of your own home. Some rules do apply, and those will be discussed in our first session. Also, if you are a bit nervous and want to start at a slower pace, phone sessions are also offered.
How long does it take to get an appointment?
The length of time to get an appointment varies on availability. However, I am currently taking new clients and can set up your intake appointment in as little as 48hrs, time permitting.
What are the rates of your services?
Individual sessions are $120 per session. Consultation sessions are $150 per session. Licensure supervision is $80 per session. Sliding scale is offered to those that qualify. I also accept out-of-network clients and provide superbills upon request for insurance reimbursement.
Which insurances do you accept?
I currently am in network with the following insurance companies.....
Aetna, All Savers, AVMED, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, EAP:Cigna, Optum, Optum Health Life Insurance, EAP: United Health/Optum, United Health Care, United Health Care Services, United Health Care Student Resources, Evernorth, Golden Rule, Highmark, Oxford, Oscar Health.
Will you be accepting any other insurance companies?
Yes. I am currently waiting to be in network with Independence Blue Cross and Humana. Start dates are to be announced.
What is the best way to contact you?

Am I a good fit for telehealthservices?
You are a good fit for telehealth services if you are not currently in crisis, are currently or have a history of suicidal ideation/attempts, homicidal ideations/attempts, and/or are currently or have a history of self-harming behaviors and if you have ever been identified as an "untreatable" client by another mental health professional.
Do you speak any other languages other than English?
Yes. I speak Spanish as well as English.
